Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Adopt BTA’s LIK Typeface
Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova received the rights for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to use the LIK typeface during an official ceremony held today at the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA). The licence agreement was signed by Minister Petrova and BTA Director General Kiril Valchev. Developed by the National Academy of Art at the request of BTA, the LIK typeface will now be used in the Ministry’s official communications.

Deputy Minister Ivanka Tasheva Meets with Moldova’s Ambassador to Bulgaria Emil Jacota
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivanka Tasheva held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Bulgaria, Emil Jacota.
During the meeting, both sides underlined the importance of the active political dialogue between Bulgaria and Moldova for the further development of bilateral relations and the expansion of cooperation across all areas of mutual interest.

Deputy Minister Tasheva Meets with Turkish Ambassador to Bulgaria Mehmet Sait Uyanık
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivanka Tasheva met today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Bulgaria, Mehmet Sait Uyanık.
The discussions focused on current security challenges, including those in the Black Sea region, as well as the need for closer coordination between the European Union and NATO in addressing them.

Ambassador Rumen Alexandrov Participates in the EU General Affairs Council Meeting
Ambassador Rumen Alexandrov represented Bulgaria at the regular meeting of the European Union’s General Affairs Council, held today in Brussels.
The Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union presented its priorities for the next six months. The Presidency’s key priorities include enhancing the European Union’s competitiveness, strengthening security, safeguarding democratic values, supporting Ukraine, advancing the EU’s enlargement policy and preparing the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).

Minister Velislava Petrova Attends the Traditional Military Parade Marking France’s National Day
Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova attended the traditional military parade marking France’s National Day. A ceremonial unit from the Bulgarian National Guard Unit also took part in the parade. Minister Petrova was a member of the official Bulgarian delegation, led by Prime Minister Rumen Radev, which attended the event at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

Deputy Minister Polendakov Participates in the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Hristo Polendakov participated in the ministerial segment of the United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.
In Bulgaria’s national statement, he underlined that, in the face of growing global uncertainty and increasingly complex challenges, the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development requires effective international cooperation, strong institutions and strict adherence to international law.

Minister Velislava Petrova Participates in the EU Foreign Affairs Council Meeting
Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova participated in the regular meeting of the European Union's Foreign Affairs Council, held today in Brussels.
In the course of the negotiations on the 21st sanctions package, the three individuals to whom Bulgaria had raised objections and over whose inclusion it had been prepared to block the package were removed from the sanctions package. The arguments put forward by the Bulgarian Government were accepted by the European Commission and the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
