On December 5, 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Brussels hosted a piano concert featuring the Bulgarian pianist Antonia Kiril Evgenieva. The event brought together representatives of the Bulgarian community in Belgium, foreign guests, diplomats, and admirers of the classical music. Writer Antonia Apostolova Presented Her New Novel to the Bulgarian Community in Belgium

On 14 November 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Brussels hosted an inspiring literary evening with Bulgarian writer Antonia Apostolova, who presented her latest novel “Pain Comes Later” (Janet 45 Publishing, 2025). The discussion was moderated by Rada Gankova – translator and founder of the literary club “Notes Under the Pillow” in Brussels. Antonia Apostolova, author of four books and recipient of numerous prestigious literary awards, is known as a writer, editor, reviewer and literary consultant. She is also the creator of the literary website “Literary Conversations”.

On 19 October 2025, with a full house at CINÉMATHÈQUE in Luxembourg, the Bulgarian film “MADE IN EU” directed by Stefan Komandarev and produced by Katya Trichkova was screened. The screening was part of the 18th edition of the CinEast film festival, which annually showcases contemporary film productions from Central and Eastern European countries.

At the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Brussels, on 2 October 2025, in the solemn atmosphere of the St. Michel College – Église, a concert of the Singers’ Society “Angel Boukoreshtliev” from Plovdiv took place – the oldest mixed choir in Bulgaria and one of the pioneering choral ensembles in the history of Bulgarian choral art.

The Seventh Bulgarian Book Festival Took Place in Brussels

The seventh edition of the Bulgarian Book Festival in Brussels was held on June 14 and 15, 2025, at the cultural center GC De Markten, located in the heart of the Belgian capital. This important cultural event has established itself as a significant forum for Bulgarian literature and culture abroad, offering Bulgarians in Belgium and neighboring countries the opportunity to meet contemporary Bulgarian authors, discover new books, and participate in a variety of literary and cultural activities. The festival was organized by the Bulgarian Cultural Association in Belgium with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Brussels and with the kind assistance of the Permanent Representation of Bulgaria to the European Union, the Bulgarian Mission to NATO, and the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad. The Bulgarian publishing house ICU was a partner in organizing the event.

Participation of the Bulgarian Embassy in Brussels in the celebration of Europe Day in Luxembourg

On May 10, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Brussels once again took an active part in the celebration of Europe Day in Luxembourg. The event was organized by the European Commission Representation in Luxembourg, in cooperation with the Municipality of Echternach, the Classical Lyceum of Echternach, the Government of Luxembourg, and the European Parliament. Set in the courtyard of the Abbey of Echternach, the “European Village” featured informational stands representing all EU Member States, alongside various European institutions and civil society organizations. More than 5,000 visitors enjoyed a vibrant program of cultural and musical performances, food tastings, and culinary delights that showcased Europe’s rich cultural and gastronomic diversity.
